Foods that make you feel healthy and stay in shape

Being surrounded with plus size friends all my life (12, 14, 16 and 18) made me ask myself  "what would it feel like to gain a few extra pounds". So i went on a journey through self, added a few extras (moved from a size 6 to an  8) and i felt good with myself. But the challenge was staying in shape and not going below or above this size. This made me cultivate the habit of eating right, which started with eating natural and unprocessed foods.
I don't exercise (there must be someone like me who don't as well) although its the best but imagine having a long day and you tell yourself am too tired I will do it tomorrow, and it keeps going on and on and on . All it took was for me to eat right, timing and quantity of the food.
If your body mass index (BMI) is overweight or you have metabolism issues like high cholesterol and belly fat, you should restrict all high cholesterol foods.

Here are foods you can eat to make you feel awesome, eat healthy and stay in shape:
  • Vegetables: cabbage, broccoli, carrots, spinach e.t.c. they contain fiber and many nutrients that are essential for the human body.

  • Fruits: Watermelon, grapes, bananas, avocado, apple, oranges are very rich in fiber . Research shows that intake of lots of high fiber fruits makes our body immune to several diseases along with burning fats (especially belly fat)
  • Eggs: eggs are among the most nutritious foods on the planet. the yolk is the most nutritious and healthiest part.

  • Nuts and Seeds: Walnut, cashew and peanut are rich in various nutrients but very high in calories. Its est to eat in moderation if you need to lose weight.
  • Tubers: Irish and sweet potatoes are healthy but high in carbohydrates. Eat in moderation.

  • High-fat Diary: butter, full-fat yoghurt, cheese, cream e.t.c are rich in healthy fat and calcium. Diary from grass-fed cows are rich in vitamin k2 which is very essential for good health
  • Meat: beef, lamb, chicken are good for your health.

  • fat and oil: Olive oil, palm kernel oil, coconut oil, butter and cheese are also good but should be used in moderation
Have you been in this situation before, what was your solution?

  1. Obesity and the illnesses that are related to being overweight are high on the increase. I think some challenges of eating right include wanting to eat until you have your fill, everytime. Most of our foods are fattening, too greasy and we do not eat adequate vegetables. Some people would tell you, "but I eat a lot of ugwu, bitterleaf etc. But the problem's that it is usually overcooked. And if only we could see the dangers in not eating right, and correct it before the illnesses begin or before we attain old age (if we attain old age, that is); it would save us future health problems (myself inclusive)!

  2. I concur with what you just said. About the veg part, when I cook and use it, I don't let it stay for a minute before i turn off the gas. So it stays fresh each time I need to heat it up agAin.
